LECOM Undergraduate Affiliated Colleges - Special Programs Where You Can Meet Our Entrance Requirements
Colleges and Universities with Affiliation Agreements with
LECOM
LECOM has developed special programs in association with select
community colleges, undergraduate colleges and universities that grant qualified students special
consideration for acceptance to LECOM’s school of Pharmacy or school of Medicine. In some
cases, these agreements will permit early acceptance into these programs allowing the student to
start the professional program prior to receiving a Bachelors degree from the undergraduate
institution.
Medical Programs:
3+4
Program – The student applies to the undergraduate school Program no later than the
end of the freshman year of undergraduate study. They receive an interview with LECOM in the
spring of the third year of their undergraduate studies and will enter LECOM’s medical school
in the fall. Following the successful completion of the first year of medical school, they will be
awarded a Bachelors degree from their undergraduate institution. Upon completing four years of
medical school, they are awarded a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Total post-high school
years of study is seven years.
4+4 Program – The student
applies to the undergraduate school Program during their senior year of high school. Once they are
accepted and enrolled in the undergraduate school, they receive an interview at LECOM. If accepted
by the undergraduate institution and by LECOM, they attend their undergraduate school for four
years, receive a Bachelors degree and enter LECOM’s medical school in the fall without the
need for an additional interview. Upon completing four years of medical school, they are awarded a
Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree. Total post-high school years of study is eight
years.
Pharmacy Programs:
2+3/(4) Program
– The student applies to the undergraduate school Program no later than October 1 of
the freshman year of undergraduate study. They receive an interview with LECOM in the spring of
the second year of undergraduate studies and will enter LECOM’s pharmacy school in the fall.
Upon completion of three years of pharmacy school (four years at the Bradenton campus), they are
awarded a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree. Total post-high school years of study is five
years (six years at the Bradenton campus).
3+3/(4) Program –
The student applies to the undergraduate school Program no later than October 1 of the freshman
year of undergraduate study. They receive an interview with LECOM in the spring of the third year
of undergraduate studies and will enter LECOM’s pharmacy school in the fall. Upon completion
of the first year of pharmacy school, they will receive a Bachelors degree from their undergraduate
institution After completing three years of pharmacy school (four years at the Bradenton campus)
they are awarded a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree. Total post-high school years of study is
six years (seven years at the Bradenton campus).
The specific criteria for acceptance
into any of the programs will vary from school to school but the general requirements are listed
below:
SAT score greater than or equal to 1170 or ACT score greater than or equal to
26
High School GPA greater than or equal to 3.5
Maintain a Grade Point Average at the
undergraduate institution of 3.4 or higher
