Facilities Access

The LECOM facilities are open according to the following schedules during academic sessions:


LECOM-Erie: Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight

Saturday, Sunday, Holidays 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight

LECOM Bradenton: 6:00 a.m. 11:00 p.m.

The facilities are intended for use by students, faculty, support staff and authorized visitors.

Key/Cards
The LECOM Security program includes the use of Proximity Key/Cards for identification and access to the facilities. All first and second year medical students, all pharmacy students, all faculty and support staff are issued a picture identification card that is also a proximity electronic key/card.

The combination ID Card and Key/Card must be visibly worn above the waist at all times while on campus and at all clinical sites. The Identification Card/Key must be used every time an authorized person is entering or leaving the facility.

Visitors on Campus
Only matriculated students are permitted in the LECOM building. Non-students are not permitted to attend didactic or laboratory sessions without special permission of the Associate Dean of Preclinical Education or the Dean of the School of Pharmacy, as appropriate. No visitors are permitted in the anatomy laboratory without special permission of the Course Director of Gross Anatomy. These regulations are STRICTLY observed.

Students wishing to bring a visitor to any part of the building must arrange for a special visitor’s pass, in advance, with the Director of Police & Security, the Director of Student Affairs, the Associate Dean of Preclinical Education or the Dean of the School of Pharmacy. Once approved, the Police & Security Department will be notified.

All persons visiting the LECOM complex must sign the visitor log at the entrances to the building and wear a visitor badge indicating they are authorized to be on campus.
